Insight Yoga and Mindfulness Workshop Series
This workshop series, spaced over a 3-month period, aims to support your growth into a Mindfulness Meditation practice.
These 3 workshops will outline the key purpose and methodologies of the Insight Yoga approach, integrating Yin and Vinyasa yoga flows.
These practices, with the breath, support us to be present in our bodies and our minds, allowing us to sit in meditation and appreciate the power of being in the present moment.
This process involves a compassionate enquiry into our essential nature, discovering inner stillness, and being content with our own silence.
By learning to dwell compassionately within ourselves first, we are then able to learn to extend loving kindness and compassion out to all beings.
This workshop series is a repeat of the series I held last year. We can never stop learning from these simple experiences, so you are welcome to repeat the series or come as a beginner.
One or all workshops can be attended.
My background and inspiration
I have been practicing yoga for 15 years now, and discovered the magic of yoga in many teachers. My teaching is a combination of my life experiences, since the yoga practice is simply about being inspired for the life we choose to live.
This particular workshop series is inspired my recent in-depth training with Sarah Powers, an acclaimed yoga and meditation teacher, who is known and loved for her unique approach - Insight Yoga - which combines traditional yoga (a background of ashtanga and vinyasa) with the meridians of Chinese medicine, as well as Buddhist meditation.
For the Flow-aspect of my practice I continue to be inspired by Shiva Rea, and her amazing mandala vinyasa flows, where one can also “lose” the mind and encourage the body to be in the present moment.
